Welcome to my author website. Here, you can learn all about what I’ve written and what I’m working on. I call it “Stories From The Last Frontier” because I’m drawn to the amazing people and land of the northern Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. The photo you see here was taken on one of my many journeys to the Bakken oil fields. It’s an incredible place of contrasts where people have come from all walks of life to battle the government, the oil companies, Mother Nature and each other as they chase the American Dream. George is a novelist and screenwriter who writes about people who are much braver, cooler, and more interesting than himself. He finds inspiration for his stories in the least explored area of our country — the northern Great Plains and the Intermountain West. Most of his work revolves around the theme of second chances because that’s where emotion lives.

The Forever Fields – In 1944, Genevieve Pazynski, a gifted and intelligent chemistry major was unjustly committed to a mental hospital because she wanted to live with her roommate and lover after graduation. Now, trapped inside, she learns what others on the outside don’t know–it is a prison of torture. After her doctor assaults her, she teams up with another patient who she viewed as her enemy in order to escape the endless ‘treatments’ designed to keep her institutionalized. (Based on the life of Genevieve Pilarski.)

A Brilliant Blaze – A seventy-year old man gets a second chance at life when an experimental drug sends his cancer into remission. With his body seemingly aging backwards, he sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream – a motorcycle ride to the rally in Sturgis. But when his son, a failed author and businessman, learns that the effects of the drug won’t last, he sets out to find him. Now on the amazing high roads of the Rockies, and the open roads of the northern plains, two men with different agendas must battle the elements, their pasts, each other and time.

Daniel’s Wager – Eighteen-year-old Daniel Calathe, an orphan raised by his drunken uncle, is a bit naïve to the world around him. He’s also a liar. He uses white lies and fanciful stories to mask his embarrassing ignorance, nothing that would hurt anyone, and certainly none that warrant his execution. But, tragically, in seven hours he is to be put to death for the cold-blooded killing of a famous TV evangelist. Inside the prison’s holding cell, Daniel begs Thomas Kane, the state appointed minister, to believe his alibi and convince the authorities to grant him a stay. But his story is the same one he told the police, the psychiatrists and the jury and Kane thinks Daniel is sticking to his defense in a last-minute wager to try and prove his sincerity. Just before the clock strikes midnight and the executioner appears at his cell door, Daniel lays out incontrovertible evidence that points to the real killer. If only it didn’t sound like another one of his extraordinary lies.

Full Throttle – When a hell-bent for leather truck driver loses his job, he turns to racing motorcycles in order to marry and support his girlfriend. But on the eve of making it big, he is confronted with losing all he ever cared about. (Based on the true story of legendary motorcycle racer Ed “Iron man” Kretz.)

Charlie Redstar – When an ex-cop witnesses the alien abduction of his son, the government frames him for murder in order to cover it up. Now, pursued by a relentless agent from a shadowy organization, he must work with his estranged wife to break into a top-secret warehouse filled with recovered alien technology in order to expose the truth and get his son back.

We The People – When a nuclear attack strikes during the President’s State of the Union address and kills all our elected officials, the world seems ready to pin the blame on a foreign terrorist group. But when a down and out ex-marine discovers proof that this was really an inside job, it falls on to him to hunt down the true subversive before he can take over the country.

Exquisite Corpse – In a world where how you die is more important than how you live, people pay big bucks for Hollywood-produced euthanasia. However, when one man learns the secret consortium that is behind all the pain and suffering on the planet, he must expose them before they execute his girlfriend on top of a tower during the world’s number one rated live TV show.

Sympathy For The Devil – When a washed-up teen idol steals a cursed Jimi Hendrix guitar, it gives him another shot at immortality. But as his new fame and ability grow, his girlfriend realizes she must destroy the guitar before it completely takes over his life and unleashes the devil onto the world stage.

John Brown’s Body – Over the course of one rainy October night, abolitionist John Brown and a ragtag group of raiders seize the federal armory at Harpers Ferry and its cache of 200,000 guns. But, before they can get out of town and arm the slaves in a massive rebellion, Robert E. Lee and his marines put down the insurrection, nearly killing Brown. Now, about to hang for his crimes against America, Brown finally sees that if he goes to the gallows, he can achieve everything he had ever hoped for. (Based on historical events.)

Depredations – When his children are slaughtered and his wife is taken captive by Cheyenne Warriors, a homesteader who fought in the Civil War picks up his rifle once again and sets out for revenge. (Based on actual events.)

The Twist – A washed-up Hollywood producer teams with a desperate scientist to produce a hit TV series by harvesting the memories of a cryogenically frozen man. But when their subject comes back to life and escapes his chamber, they must hunt him down before their secret is exposed.

DisAstor Park – Astor Park is a magical land of family, fun, and wonder. At least that’s how founder and eccentric millionaire Lawson J. Astor sees it. But in reality, it’s a comedic mess of a theme park where the rides are poorly designed, the employees don’t care, and the safety inspector threatens to shut it all down. Somehow, in the midst of all the chaos, a shy new employee finds a way to keep the dream alive.

Fracturing –  When Tom Blaze leaves his wife and daughter a thousand miles behind to find work in a remote North Dakota boom town, he befriends an elderly rancher who is dying from cancer. In his final days, the rancher bequeaths to Tom his home and property, which is known to be the largest untapped oil field in the Bakken reserve, with one exception: he can never drill on it.
